TOUGH BOYS

Tough Boys are a dance collective based between Scotland and London. Both originally from Scotland’s central belt, Roseann Dendy and Sula Castle come together to create work that lives in a synaptic landscape of tenderness and brutality. By responding to the world as they see it, they make high-octane movement vocabularies within contemporary and hip-hop theatre, continually questioning the fundamental human condition and its intersections with queerness, religion and class. Tough Boys are the current Young Associates Artists at Sadler’s Wells 2023-25 and are represented by production house Metal&Water.

TOUGH BOYS currently have one full-scale theatre work, DUG MEAT available for programming and are currently in development for their new small-scale touring duet, ‘God Is A Taxi Driver’.

Alongside their work in theatre they are open to commerical commisions in film, TV and fashion.

TOUGH BOYS will be teaching at The Work Room on the 23rd and 30th Oct, 9:30-10:45, and at Trinity Laban every day 1-5 Nov, 9:00-10:30am. They will also be hosting a work-in-progress sharing at Tramway on the 30th October.
